All hail to the world's greatest boxer of all time (in my time, that is)!!! Hoorah Pacquiao! You made us one happy citizens of the P.I once more! I think I'm really liking Pacquiao all the more now (except that he became Sarangani's representative and not that something is very wrong with that. Well, just a little.) because aside from the fact that I could literally do cartwheels down the road or summon my friends to play patintero with me, he really is a champion: in heart, spirit, and mind. Amen. Kidding aside, he really is! My most favorite part of his fights are those when he gets interviewed right after. The man honestly can't speak excellent English, but the good thing is that he tries. That's actually the good thing about Filipinos - we do try to communicate in the most foreign language which is universally understood anyhow and rarely fail at it. If you come here in the P.I, you'll be surprised that even the konduktors know how to speak basic English and can definitely give clear directions to a tourist lost with his map floating somewhere in Dora's world. Sometimes, I'm even surprised that these konduktor's can really enunciate well. Bravo! World-class talaga ang Pinoy and I certainly am proud to be one. Not because of Pacquiao (only) but because for all that we are! Despite the fact that we have too much freedom we don't know what to do with it anymore, we don't support each other enough, but at the end of the day we're still happily laughing together even over some dried fish for dinner. I honestly wouldn't want to retire anywhere else but here! I'm not saying that I don't ever want to go abroad or something... of course I dream of visiting other countries! And my European trip dream! Hello? I can't make that come true without stepping out of the country, right? Anyhoo, I've become a real convert of Pacquiao after his fight with Margarito and he got interviewed (ehem, my favoritest part!) and I found out that he was genuinely concern about Margarito! My most favorite part of this particular interview was when he was asked by the reporters about the painful blow that he got from Margarito and all he said was that he's doing ok and coping pretty good with it, but also asked the Filipinos (and all of his fans) to pray for Margarito's safety and that he may get well soon from the blows that he's (Pacquiao) done to his precious eyes. Oh Pacquiao! What good and pure heart you truly have! And Margarito, that was a good fight, too! I hope you never grow a head with a horn Manny! Stay as humble and keep your innocence but do take time to learn at least one thing at a time ;) Generally, good jobbers Manny Pacman Pacquiao!
Moving on...
Day 09 - Something you're proud of in the past few days
The clock is a symbolic logistical assessment! Hahah. Don't ask me. I only understood symbolic and the rest I totally stole from Sophie Kinsella's Can You Keep a Secret novel. Back to business, the clock symbolizes my success for the past two to three months. You wouldn't believe how greatly I've changed so I would really put this down as my big success for this year. It might not be as big as big can be, but I am really finding a great happiness in this change!
So... drum-roll please!
I never got tardy for even a minute in the last three months! That is totally amazing... for someone like me most especially. And that's about it. There could be a hundred more or nothing else, who knows? It has truly become an obsession, uhm, the getting of a perfect attendance. Thanks ever, of course, to The Greatest Boyfriend EVER! I wouldn't have done it without him.
and I'm addicted,
~tSin
