Vacation Cravings.

an interesting catch.
"A mini getaway
To a place where you could lie on sands all day
A mini trip
That's surely not going to get your wallet ripped."

And yes, there are some days when I'd really want to rhyme things even though sometimes they couldn't make much sense. Lol. Anyhoo, here's an overly late post of our (Tim and yours truly) quick day out at the beach. Good thing that the weather gave us more than a couple of hours to enjoy the sun because later during the day... it rained completely... especially in the city.

Now that it's already January, despite the cold, cold weather outside I'm totally up and ready to gear up for the summer. It's not that we even need an official kick-off for a summer's day in this country where it's summer all year long, I just feel like tagging mid-March as my "official" summertime until the rainy days come back in June. And this instant, I am craving for another day at the beach or the swimming pool. I just need to swim! And oh! Did I already tell? I joined our department's own rendition of reality tv's Biggest Loser. So pretty much explains why I need a good and very exhausting and pound losing swim! Since I can't do it yet... I will have to run my fats off for the next few weeks or so.

I wish I won't be too lazy. I really.

I should... run three times a week and get a shot at swimming at least twice. I'd risk the city's swimming pool. I would do anything to lose some pounds for my own well-being and for the upcoming activities of the year :D

Here are some photos of our getaway in Alcoy

relaxation is the best medicine, oh well second to laughter :)

all ♥

nagpapakitang gilas :D

The fee break down?
I'd say 200 for bus fare per person - back and forth to our place (since we opted to ride there as it won't be too practical anymore to go to the city just to catch the bus heading south)
P50 for the venue (and I don't know why we had to pay for it though)
P10 for the entrance fee
No fee for tables and chairs or cottage since we brought our own scarves and blankets.
The place was deserted since it was on a weekday.

the boatman seeking food under the noon sun.

IT was a perfect getaway -- isolated and quiet and tranquil minus luxurious maid service or whatsoever.
But that's all good, we had fun feeling like we own the place even for just a few hours :)

wondering where next,

There is No Reason Needed in Loving.

Day 20- Someone you see yourself marrying/being with in the future

But of course...
I would fall in love with this boy-man a million times over and still won't regret a thing.
I love him beyond words, beyond the world.
He is the only one I'd ever want, need, and love.
And I am never ashamed to admit it.
Because I love him and I just do.

his for everything,

The Aftermath of an Emotional Turbulence.

The worst part of being a woman is having the monthly visitor.
I hate it for a gazillion of reasons and to name
just a few:

1. It makes me feel really, really F U G L Y as in fat and ugly to the highest level.
2. It makes me want to throw fist fights with The Boyfriend everyday until the visitor finally comes.
3. It makes me depressed. Thus all the tweets. They seem to be too uncontrollable and too tempting to just vent I couldn't help but tweet them without thoroughly thinking about them really.
4. It makes me want to just sulk up in bed and alienate myself from everyone.
5. It makes me binge-eat.
6. It makes me MIA in social networking sites as well. Uhm, except for Twitter though.

I've been asking fellow women why we have to feel this way before (and in my case, ask myself, after) the dreaded periods. I mean, I could see it coming but in the 12 years that I've been having this, I still couldn't seem to find a way to control it somehow. They say that it's because of the hormones that's why we all have this bittersweet days (and the bitterest of days come menopausal days). I really have a hard battle with this PMS. It sucks big time. I want it to go away like totally without a trace. I don't want to take mood stabilizers or anything at all. I just want it to go away naturally.

The emotional turbulence is truly heartbreaking and disturbing. Now I'm even more afraid to show my face to people. Oh no!

*sighs*

On a lighter note, I have wrapped all my Christmas presents already! My anxiety goes to the clothing gifts which I have a big fear that might not fit those wearing them. But I hope that they will though! I am very excited to be playing Santa Claus and deliver all those gifts to the deserving. Hahaha! I have already given some of the gifts and my heart couldn't help from glowing with delight once I see them unwrap the presents with big smiles on their faces. I always love to witness the unwrapping of gifts! It's my favoritest part next to wrapping them :) I didn't fulfill the promised theme for the wrappers though cuz... I found them too expensive, honestly but I compensated with wrapping them lovingly.

I wish I could take a picture of at least one or two people unwrapping their gifts from either me or The Boyfriend and me :)

ANDDDDD! I'm excited too cuz The Boyfriend and I will be exchanging gifts tomorrow! Lucky us that we won't be working our asses off on Christmas eve. Quality time, here I come!

Sneak Peeks!

Wow! I've been away too long and too many things have already happened in between! My presents for everyone are almost ready ;) I just need to wrap them all and they'd be good for distribution ;) Well, at least, not until Simbang Gabi starts though. I think that that's really the official time of the year when Christmas finally commences!

Moving on, since I'm too lazy to write anything right now to give you details of the days past... Let me leave you with these... sneak peeks :)

Not posting and telling everything out yet cuz there's still a couple more coming :)

weekend love story,

I Don't Want to Live in Your Shadow Any Longer

~MERRY CHRISTMAS! Less than a month to go or so I think! :)

I can't believe I've been gone for almost a week after making a seemingly stiff promise on never to skip blogging ever again most especially the thirty-day challenge! I am truly sorry. I really am, from the bottom of my heart... my deepest and sincerest apologies. But since I've been gone too long... I am back with a blast and loads of photo-flooding. And I hope you wouldn't mind at all!

***

I'm totally gonna be retrospecting for the longest time on how awesome these dudes are! Wiki may classify them as part of the pop rock band (which I really don't agree 100% on!) but man, no matter how their age shows on their face it doesn't change a thing! They're still as cool as the time when I listened to them back in the 90's. To have shed those good amount of moolah and risking standing for a couple of hours or so didn't really stop me at all from going. This is the first international concert that I've ever been to and what's most wonderful is that they're not some band I pretend to like just for the heck of it! I truly adore them and love their songs like beyond the heavens super!

When we first bought the tickets... I honestly didn't feel the strongest desire nor excitement to watch them and I was like "WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU TSIN?" Prolly, I was thinking too much about the money spent or I just had too much stuff going on in my head at the time or whatever. It was short-lived however! I think it kind of sink into me after a couple of days and found myself flying into a Gin Blossoms kind of high singing their songs and putting it in replay for millions of times until I could already prolly replace Robin Wilson from his place. Hahahah!

Robin Wilson, Gin Blossoms' lead vocalist (who is sort of addicted to the tambourine;)), is definitely the man of the show! He's actually the crowd favorite, aside from Scott Johnson the ultimately hyper guitarist! :) I love how Robin sounds like the person I listen to in the mp3 player! I will never get tired of listening to him sing! He's an angel who I believe could shamelessly belt out some good Taking Back Sunday hits! I swear he's got that youthful timber in his voice! If I'd close my eyes I could be fooled that he's just some twenty year old dude making his way to stardom or fame or something. Anyhoo, get more band info from here.

The guys I went with that night! Wonderful and amazing guys who've been best friends forever! Even before I was born! JK. I bet someone's gonna kill me if he finds out I said even before I was born. Hahah! I do thank these two for making the whole night more memorable and fun ;)

The rest of the night was spent checking out the night bazaar in I.T park and karaoke at G-mik. Yes! Just the three of us indeed! But the good thing? We had the microphone all to ourselves! We spent about two hours just singing to our hearts content!

And lookie what I've found at the night bazaar:

Bubble Bee Tea House stall! Uh, actually the photo shows their menu. But who cares?! It's Bubble Bee in the middle of I.T Park! OMG! Very affordable and healthy and truly one drink that would drive your gloomy day or night away! :)

***

Fast forward to Monday... The Boyfriend and I decided to sport a new look. And look at how we transformed from beautiful to beautifulest :) Hahaha!

Although I still have to go back to the salon today to have my hair re-curled. If that's still possible cuz I lost the receipt, but I hope that they would recognize my face though! :|

Anyhoo, let me leave you with this picture. The best I've ever captured yet from my phone that night (yes, all photos were taken using my phone, Walkie).

Robin Wilson says "HELLO ZE-BUU!" He does pronounce it like sebo as in that greasy eeky stuff in your plate! I don't know how to describe it completely though. But I think you do know what I mean ;)

off to the salon,

Craving Come True

~Lasagna and the sweetest smile ♥

After weeks and weeks of craving! The Boyfriend finally had it: Da Vinci Pizza's Lasagna Lite! And I swore Da Vinci's Pizza could have given it a more appropriate name... Uhm, something like Spisagna :) A fusion of SPInach (which I think is the primary ingredient of it!) and laSAGNA. But The Boyfriend sided with the local pizza master, saying that the word "lite" adds a special lure to the already very inviting food and I couldn't agree more! Point well taken. This Lasagna lite live true to its name -- very healthy and light to the stomach indeed with only all imaginable vegetables in it plus the lasagna pasta or whatever you might want to call it cuz I really don't have any idea at all to be honest! Anyhoo, this dish has seriously become The Boyfriend's favoritest dish at the local pizzeria. Well, he's really good biases for Italian food and would like to kid often that he had been an Italian in his past life and therefore has an old Italian soul living in his modern body. *sniggers*

Now, I could worry about eating when the sun rises tomorrow :)

good luck, someone said,

~tSin

P.S.

And I hate it when someone wants to ALWAYS know EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE!!! It really is very, very, very annoying?! Ugh, ugh, ugggghhhh!

P.S.S

I hate more those people who spreads negativity as though their whole life depended on it. Double uggghhh!

HAPPY CAPSLOCK DAY!!!

~a new breakfast love: ensaemada+butter and Esprit raspberry @ Starbucks

Err... Nope. I won't pester you into celebrating something which annoys about 99.99% of the world's population. But if you're curious enough you can read the full story here. WATCH OUT! Jk ;)

Here are some of my week's highlights, can I ask permission to give them all in bullets? :) Thanks!

  • I finally found some good pair of running shoes for my mediocre feet and I already told you in my previous blog, didn't I? Well, I just feel like saying so again together with the fact that I've already had my first run, too! I was sooo dead tired I thought I could collapse with just one round of jogging! I think I ran too fast. Now I know what The Boyfriend meant when he said it's too much of a challenge to control the pace of your running. But it was just the first time... I could always do better the next. That's to hoping I won't collapse by then!
  • The world is not going to end soon. I've got two proofs! One, there are still food and some other stuff manufactured that will expire beyond 2012! Two, Yahoo said so!
  • It's CAPSLOCK DAY today! DO I HAVE TO REITERATE?! WELL, THIS IS REALLY ANNOYING. Please refer to post up, up above! :D
  • Nikkita. I haven't started watching it yet, but I will this weekend! It's finally going to be a no work weekend for me! Time to stretch, relax, dine watch a movie and TV series and simply enjoy the weekend!
  • Lexmark's got a really cool new multi-function printer. The Genesis. I wish these world-class products are available here in the P.I!
  • Disappointing first visit to the Etude House. I've read about it a really, really long time ago in some random blog and just recently, I found out that they finally have a branch here in Ubec. Since I found out about it in the middle of the night I apparently couldn't just leave and head straight to SM City to take a good look at it... so I had no other option but to just read about it. Some bloggers said that sales ladies from the Etude House will welcome you with a "WELCOME PRINCESS" greeting once you get inside the store! I was so excited about this (hahaha! lame!) and to see all of the other good stuff in the store as well. I had to wait two more days before I could go and when I finally did... Disappointment :( The place wasn't what I imagined it to be, sadly. The people there didn't even notice us come inside the store - it's either they were too busy preparing for lunch break (because we arrived about noon) or they were just thinking that we were just one of those shoppers who stumbled upon the store without any intention of purchasing anything! But I was really thinking of buying some BB cream and nail polishes, but I was too dismayed to buy anything at all. So we left empty-handed and heart slightly broken :( The Etude House in SM City Cebu is located on the ground floor near the supermarket and the ground floor department store. I'm not great with directions so I hope you'll find it somehow! Heheh...
The Boyfriend's comment: "Is that what you were too excited to see? The place looks... hugaw (dirty)." Yes, it certainly didn't look very inviting... well, except that it is very, very pink! ^^,
  • Carmex lip balms are on sale! Yes, they definitely are! I bet you've read from my previous blogs how I instantly fell in love with this magical lip medicine! So I really couldn't help spreading the good news that it is available in Ubec! And the flavored ones are currently on sale up to 50% off in Ayala Center department store! Go grab one now before it runs out! :)
Here is my Carmex doodle ;) I covered it with the real one though. Hihi.
  • Lastly, today The Boyfriend and I are celebrating our 27 months of being together! Hoh-wow! I am proud of us for still being together after everything that we've been through! Those rough times surely made us stronger! Thank you so much God! We don't usually celebrate monthsaries because we both believe that it is unnecessary to wait for a certain day to make it special... everyday can be special and full of surprises if we want to. I could certainly fall in love with this manboy all over and over again and love him far longer than f.o.r.e.v.e.r! I swear!

I am not usually sweet, but I can be really mushy at times :) This is cheesy in a genuine level and I did this because of love ♥ So to all the haters and the cynical, you better find your tunay na pag-ibig. I'm sure it's going to turn your life around in a majorly good, good way! Just remember though to love yourself first above anything and anybody else because after all yourself is your only fallback when everything and everyone else fails.

Anyhoo, you all have a great Saturday! I'm praying and at the same time crossing my fingers for a great weather and no raging storms!

happy SaturdaY;

Down With the Sickness

NOT :(

I feel weird. My hands are shaking, I feel dizzy, my back hurts so much it feels like I'm carrying the whole world on it, and my stomach is in a ramble! Whatever happened to me in a matter of less than nine hours I now feel very sick and out of sync as well.

Btw, tt's one of my gorgeous friends' birthday today, Bula (as we fondly call her + pic above ;)) and I don't want to miss out on the party tonight much as miss out one work night :( I hope that rest will heal this überly weird feeling that I'm having right now.

Let me leave you with a picture of LJ (The Boyfriend's very cute niece who's definitely talent-packed!)

She's just two and she now knows how to sing the ABC completely!

Well, except that she skips and replaces "E" with F and G! Hahaha! But she really is a cutie-pie! Most especially if she is in a very good mood! She knows how to sing Twinkle-twinkle, too! ♥

Anyhoo, I hope you all have a great Tuesday. The sun is up outside... still a bit cloudy, but it looks like it's a lot better than yesterday. We'll find out later! Ciao... for now.

be well,

~tSin

OWLS are CATS that FLY :)

I don't know when my fascination for owls began. Prolly, during Harry Potter times with the most adorable owl Hedwig or I've long before seen them (of course silly!) and adore them by then but I just adore them more now and openly! Anyhoo, The Boyfriend decided to take me to a Sundate yesterday as he prolly got tired of my whining on wanting badly to go to the mall! Well, it has been forever since the last time I or we went so it was a really perfect timing to go there yesterday! I didn't get to shop though because I am now hanging on to a cash that's being reserved for my fare tomorrow, but it was all good. We got to hitch a ride with his parents on the way to the city and once we got there we were treated by them to a sumptuous "snack" at Sbarro. They really are super wonderful people, I envy The Boyfriend a lot for having them and sometimes couldn't help wishing if they could adopt me one day. That's just some wishful thinking and besides if they're going to adopt me The Boyfriend will be my step brother! NO WAY! Hahaha! Also his parents do love me as though I were their own and I especially love his mom! ♥

On the other hand, I found out in the course of our malling that The Boyfriend had a couple of surprises for me!

One. He bought me a new regular bag. This is really going to be useful as I also have other plans (will have to tell you one day ;)) for its official use ;) And I love it so much because, aside from the fact that it was given by The Boyfriend, it's also very light to carry and big enough to house my hygiene, kikay, and gadget kits! Yes, I do carry a lot of smaller bags inside my bag! I just love to organize things and make it easier for me to look for the things that I need.

Two. The Legend of the Guardians: Owls of Ga'hoole. My smile literally went from ear to ear when he announced that we'd be watching the movie! Both of us were captivated with the trailer's OST from 30 Seconds to Mars, Kings and Queens, and how it gave an extremely dramatic effect to the trailer. We really love the song even before the movie ever came out with its irresistible trailer!

While waiting for show time, we decided to take a picture of ourselves with our desired owl. The Boyfriend is Metalbeak - one of the antagonists in the movie who is part of the Pure Ones. But in the book though it shows that Metalbeak and Kludd are one and the same owl. Hmmm...

I am cute little elf owl Gylfie. The Boyfriend wanted me to look like her or follow her expression at least but my small eyes failed me. So there I am with no match to Gylfie's cuteness!

Some screencaps from the movie. I found out that the movie is actually based on an epic fantasy book with a total of fifteen books in the series by Kathryn Lasky. Fifteen books and just one movie? Hmmm... I wonder if there could be a part 2, but it looks like there won't be though. We'll have to find out someday ;) Going back to the movie, it follows on the adventure of the young, brave, and ambitious (in a good way) Soren (a barn owl -- and if you get to watch the movie, you'll find out that all kinds of owls were there! And all of them emitting a cuteness in different ways!). The movie is like fables that we used to read from story books in grade school that takes us to an adventure with the main protagonist and then teaches us a lesson afterwards. Let me give you in bullets the lessons that I've learned from watching the movie:

Kludd: The Guardians win, lalalalala, they go home.
The end. Think about something *real*.
Soren: They're real.
  • Faith. There was actually another part of the movie where this is quoted most perfectly. I couldn't remember very well but I think it was Soren or their dad who told Kludd (his brother who took sibling rivalry to the extreme, as in to the point of endangering their lives!) that just because you can't see a thing/person doesn't mean that they're not real. You just have to believe, have faith and feel their presence in your heart.
Kludd: You have a soft head, Soren. Filled with stories, and dreams.
Soren: There's nothing wrong with dreams.
  • Dreaming could get us as far as we'd like to. People without dreams are people who remain stagnant and dissatisfied with life. They are the same people who will never find out what's behind the darkness that is blinding them. The same people who are unhappy with the situation they are in but never doing anything to correct it because they've convinced themselves that there's nothing really out there, no more than a horizon that comes and goes as the sun sets and rises.
Noctus: Legend tells of a band of noble warriors...
known as the Guardians of Ga'hoole.
Whenever trouble is at hand, seek them out.
For they are sworn to protect the innocent, and vanquish evil...
Should I stop?
  • Good always conquers bad. Need I say more on that?
Since I was a kid, I think this is prolly the second animated movie that I've ever watched in the big screen. I really am not a very good lover of the movies and I often fall asleep while watching, however, this movie didn't fail me at all! I really, really love the owls being so cuddly and full of wisdom they could pass as humans minus their feathery nature! The animation was superb and the storyline awesome and at the same time very intense! I'd give the movie an 8 out of 10. This is really going to be perfect to watch with the whole family, but make sure though to give a sound PG since some of the scenes are really bloody violent and not to mention, dark and may not be very suitable for overly young audiences. And yes, do watch it in 3D and feel the owls' wings as they swoop down from behind you ;)

The only thing I hate about the movie is the Owl City soundtrack. Just because it's an Owl movie it doesn't mean you have to put in an Owl City song in there! Was it really necessary?! I didn't even hear 30 Seconds to Mars in any part of the movie at all and that made it all the more disheartening! Oh pft. You really can't get everything though. Let me leave you with one funny dialog between Digger and Gylfie :D

Digger: Knock knock.
Gylfie: Who's there?
Digger: Owls.
Gylfie: Owls who?
Digger: Heh! That's right. Owls *hoo.*

my genes are not made for the movies,

Turn It Off

We're taking shortcuts and false solutions
Just to come out the hero.
~Paramore, Turn It Off

03.27.10 | 14:29:23 | the worst part

I don't think I can ever be forgiven! I've been M.I.A waaaaay too long it's sickening to even think about! Since 2010 came I've never even posted anything that's worth reading or coming back for! Well, I think one of the reasons could be... I can't post blogs at the office anymore :( They're so strict there already, but what can I do huh? I am just a slave awaiting to arise... to dethrone the masters and mistresses. Well, that sounds sort of... evilish.

Moving forward, as a come backer post... let me fill you in with some updates of the past, what, three months? A couple of weeks ago I legally turned twelve dozen! I still dread giving out my real age! I don't know! I feel old and crippled to still be here right where I am at this age! Back in high school, I imagined myself to be successful and rich and everything else nice (only) at the age past 20, yet here I am. Incarcerated by my own laziness, fueled stagnant by procrastination -- I suddenly felt like a loser. Prolly, I could've gone to med or law school if I was ambitious enough, but then I am mostly contented of the average and the mediocre. I know, that's sad. Sometimes, I dream of waking up the next day in a mansion, on a luxurious bed with a couple of maids to attend to my every whim and need just as I dreamed before of getting perfect grades without studying a bit. Yes, my imagination is unfortunately demented, defective, whatsoever. Ho-hum. And all I can do is just take a deep breath and sigh and wish that I could find a genie in a bottle who could grant me even just one wish then I would wish that all my wishes would come true! Hahah!

*Sighs*

My mind is racing fast. Thinking about a lot of things again: Disappointed in most and angered in some. I am torn between expressing such anguish and just forgetting about them and posting some of my pictures from the Sinulog festival which jump-started the year up to the recent trip in Manila with The Boyfriend which by the way was really fun and exciting yet excruciatingly painful that even now my feet and legs are still a bit weak from all the walkings we've done in the city. I'm not complaining for it was all worth it! I just wish that I could've been more prepared - that's it.

I believe I would have to find another time to provide you with more updates. As for now I will have to go back to the sack and indulge myself in reading. I haven't done so for a long time! Even longer than the time that I haven't written anything!

I need a blackberry,

-tSin

You're A Grown Addiction That I Can't Deny.

There is so much a man can tell you
So much he can say
You remain, my power, my pleasure, my pain
~Seal, Kiss From A Rose

11.23.09 | 19:41:54 | and tell me what's healthy baby

I will always remember that very first day I saw you. Who would've known we'd come this far? Nobody ever believed... it was all a joke they said. That you and me we could never be... I was out of your league and so were you out of mine. I will always remember how I've denied wanting you, liking you, and seeing this day with you and yet it has happened. You and me... here and now and forever. It's boy meets girl and all the other complicated things sandwiched in and we can bury them all, really. Forget the past and walk hand in hand with me to meet the future.

I love you. I love the way you hold my hand and the way you look at me. I love never letting go of thoughts of you. I love how much I've changed [for the better, of course] from the day I met you. I love the way you kiss my back with those soft lips of yours. I love the smell of your breath. I love waking up beside you everytime. I love how your fingers brush my hair and the way you tell me how good they smell! :) I love your hair, too. I love your way of making me laugh and annoying and appeasing me all at the same time. I love how you encourage me to be rational and logical in most situations. I love it when you make me wait and make the waiting worth it. I love your way of putting me to sleep - those prayers... your gratefulness for the gift of rest. I love the way you love me. And I swear, as I always tell you and I will never get tired of reminding you, that I really have never felt this way before. Please, my love, stay for as long as you can... and I will do the same. Muah!

Thank you soo much for coming into my life my love. I just realized... I couldn't live without you. What took you so long to find me? Doesn't matter... I am all yours now. :)

with all my love,

~noj2x

Another Inside Story I Can't Tell.

Another downfall lights the way
Begging me to save the day
In these walls I’ve failed to stand
Another useless helping hand
~Taken By Cars, All For a Tuesday

09.30.09 | 06:02:09 | bubbly toes and blood red hair

Yesterday, on our way home:

The Boyfriend: Let's drop by *enter bank name here*
Me: Oh! You've been paid already? (as in the salary)
The Boyfriend: Yep.
Me: Well, that's early. It's still the 29th. Are you sure?
The Boyfriend: I'm sure.
Me: Hmmm... well probably so you can also help out the Ondoy victims.
The Boyfriend: Right! Our supervisor even made us sign this contract as to how much we would want to donate.
Me: Really? And how much are you giving?
The Boyfriend: Five thousand.
Me: *wide eyes* What?
*silence*
Me: *5 minutes after* Tim, I am sooo proud of you.
The Boyfriend: Why?
Me: Cuz you're donating five thousand pesos!
The Boyfriend: *laughs* I was just kidding...

UGH! I wanted to shave his head right there and then! Hahaha! Crazy.

Anyhooser, it must have been three or four days already since the Ondoy devastating calamity... finally, the raging tempest have left us - although mourning and with much loss, it's very heartbreaking to even think about. I am not very updated with the daily news about Ondoy and its aftermath aside from the twits I get from celebrity stars on Twitter, word of mouth is my only source for news. Please don't think that I am utterly nonchalant about what had happened to my countrymen, in fact, I am very proud of those people who took time and to some who have sacrificed their lives to help others. And if I were closer and had a lot more extra moolah to spare... I'd surely spearhead a group to help those poor victims of the typhoon. But since I am in a whole different island (thankfully, safe and sound!) and I am also having a hard time trying to make both ends meet... I am offering my heartfelt prayers for them.

I guess I know how it feels to get stuck in the cold, raging storm... holding on to whatever you can hold on to... walking in knee/waist/shoulder-deep and not to mention very dirty waters... and trying hard to save your home and your life. When I was still a kid, we also experienced the unpredictable wraths of Mother Nature... and I semi-lost my grandfather because of the heavy rain and flood during a storm which I really couldn't remember the name at all. It was devastating already what more this Ondoy has brought to us? I believe about some hundred lives have already been lost... it's crazy. And most of the casualties consist of infants, kids, and women. :(

Good thing really that we have brave souls out there who are willing to help out in whatever way they can. And I'm just hoping that those politicians won't take this time of great loss and heartbreak as an oppurtunity to advertise themselves for the upcoming elections. That would be unforgivable. I hope, too, that the government is doing their best to help these people who have been greatly affected and prolly, it would be wise if they get ready for the 2 other storms which are said to be coming our way any time this week as well. Hopefully, they wouldn't cause as much destruction as Ondoy though. Not now please. Better yet... not anymore.

The Aftermath [photos]:

~this is just überly sad and heartbreaking.

Angry Mother Earth makes humans look like animals lying naked and helpless on the streets, atop debris, lost from a battle never won -- vulnerable and raw. And She doesn't choose who should go... everyone must go. Sinners or not. Which reminds me of Jacque Bermejo.

She's instantly become a superstar over the stormy weekend and now she's released her "OFFICIAL STATEMENT" to clean her name. I bet she's too ashamed to even show her face out the window of her room now. I don't know if I should believe her claim that her FB account has been hacked although I should say that she must have had her point... it's just that she blurted out something outrageously hurtful in the most sensitive of times. Well, we are all entitled to our opinion anyway and negative publicity is still publicity after all... Who knows that Jacque-girl is just fishing for worldwide attention, probably dreaming of becoming the next Paris Hilton or something. Or seriously, I really don't know. It's for you to believe or not. Yes, it's up to you. Anyhow, the truth will surely come out any time soon. I guess... we'll just have to wait for that?

And I'll leave you with this:

"Storm “Ondoy” was a great equalizer. The flood treated everybody, rich and poor, equally. It didn’t play favorites, exempting no one. It made everybody miserable. Celebrities and the influential suffered along with the poor. The rich in their gated communities suffered just as much as the squatters in their shanties."

This guy has surely helped me out. Very well said!

LET'S HELP OUT. It's never too late.

i know how it hurts,

Come save me from walking off a windowsill or I'll sleep in the rain.

09.26.09 | 05:48:12 | weathering the storm

It's been raining endless (scratching that cuz I might have been exaggerating) for days and there's a storm coming... so, hello STORMY weekend.

I am such a loser... I haven't posted anything at all for the past days. I'm sorry. But I swear I'm gonna fill you up today with news about yours truly.

I guess the main reason why I wasn't able to write or blog is that I got too busy doing OTs (working mostly from 9pm to 9am) and I swear I've been having headaches cuz we've got very high call volume during the past couple or three weeks. I must admit... it was all too exhausting, I almost got sick! But good news dearies, my tummy is now working at its best! Thanks to the very efficient Doctor who prescribed me those very helpful medicines... now I'm stomach-ache free! Yay! I should celebrate, I should. =) And of course, I should remind myself now and then to give the snobs to sodas and coffee (although I seldom, seldom, seldom drink coffee!) and anything else that is acidic so that my stomach could fully recover from its almost dead state. I sure do feel lots better than before I started taking those meds. Gosh! I cant' believe how I've become such a drug addict in a short period of time. Hahaha! Of course I am kidding on being a drug addict! I swear I'm not!

Ok. Enough about that and let's move on. So... while I was away... I spent most of my limited free time on:

-catching up with sleep (sleeping at night is still the best remedy and the best way to detoxify!);

-reading this and this book =);

-watching some movies with The Boyfriend (we've finally finished watching the Terminator Salvation! Christian Bale was sooo hot in that movie!);

-I found a link for that movie 500 Days of Summer (I definitely love their OSTs! And I swear Zooey Deschannel does look like a lot like Katy Perry!!!) so I started to watch it but I got too lazy and impatient waiting for the stream to load I had to stop watching it after 45 minutes;

-a bit of shopping! I finally got myself these:

actually, The Boyfriend gave me that =) Included in the shopping were two new pair of jeans and a couple of dresses which I really, really LOVE (I don't have a picture of it yet though, but I'll update you as soon as I have!) I'm still looking forward to buying a few more dresses.

-celebrating our 14 months together over a sumptuous breakfast of pancakes and ground pork and corned beef and a heart-warming mushroom soup!

-convincing The Boyfriend to go to the beach on a rainy day. I sooo wanted to go because I had a new bikini to flaunt! Haha! But of course I didn't tell The Boyfriend that and it also wasn't the primary reason why I wanted to go anyway - I just wanted to get away from the city for a while and be with him and only him on our special day really :)

so to the beach we went :)
if you wanna see my skimpiness, you can click HERE
but don't blame me if you wouldn't like what you see! haha!

what else kept me busy... *thinking tight*

OH OF COURSE!

-watching The Vampire Diaries series. Elena is really pretty!

-watching the whole new season of GGX (as in Gossip Girl. I just wanna call it GGX!).

I guess... I was just living life the way God wanted me to live it... I am enjoying every moment of it! No matter how tiresome some days got and no matter how I wanted to give up already! Be proud of me cuz I'm still standing strong and HAPPY. =)

And oh! Yesterday, I had my fill of all of my cravings! Well, except for one: POPCORN! But Julie brought some Mojos from Shakey's and I was überly delighted! And then mum brought home some pomelo, lanzones, and sweet corn! I was very, very full - I definitely felt so bloated afterwards! I guess I will never be able to tell my success story on losing a good number of weight without dieting. Ugh! Eating is just too heavenly good to be said no to, right? Who can say NO to FOOD?! Nobody. Unless you're really crazy about your weight or something like it's already psychotic.

Ho-hum... I am just glad -super glad- that it is the weekend already! I could sleep the whole day and then prolly, if it doesnt' rain, go out with Lois and Juno later tonight at The Outpost to catch some good music (I've read from the B.I.T.E Mag that the place is going to play some Ska tonight. We'll see.) and then just enjoy the rest of my days off relaxing or sleeping, per se.

By the way, I just found a new craze (aside from my regular music-hunting)! Let me call it Tsin's Looklet Craze. =) I just love it and it's definitely soooo addictive! Haha! Here are my masterpieces (some beginner's stuff, really. nothing major!):

~they're pretty safe designs and mix-matches.
I always want to stay with comfort and elegance and a bit
(just a tiny bit) of craziness ;)

And right now, I am most looking forward to watching the Inglourious Basterds -- like supermassively! I've been waiting for sooo long so please let me watch already! Then there's the whole new season of Dexter by Monday! I couldn't wait as well!

Alright, time to wrap up now. I've got to go. Let me leave you with this picture of mine -- me wearing the neon pink sunglasses and crazy polka dress! I feel like a kid! Haha!

Is it me? Or is it really? Whenever those weather forecasters tell us there's going to be a storm the sun shines brightly outside... Hmmm... But yeah, I am aware that in another part of the world some are struggling to survive the very strong winds and the chilling rain and of course, praying that their homes won't get lost in the storm. I'll be praying for them, too.

i don't wannna wait,
