Err... Nope. I won't pester you into celebrating something which annoys about 99.99% of the world's population. But if you're curious enough you can read the full story here. WATCH OUT! Jk ;)
Here are some of my week's highlights, can I ask permission to give them all in bullets? :) Thanks!
I finally found some good pair of running shoes for my mediocre feet and I already told you in my previous blog, didn't I? Well, I just feel like saying so again together with the fact that I've already had my first run, too! I was sooo dead tired I thought I could collapse with just one round of jogging! I think I ran too fast. Now I know what The Boyfriend meant when he said it's too much of a challenge to control the pace of your running. But it was just the first time... I could always do better the next. That's to hoping I won't collapse by then!
The world is not going to end soon. I've got two proofs! One, there are still food and some other stuff manufactured that will expire beyond 2012! Two, Yahoo said so!
It's CAPSLOCK DAY today! DO I HAVE TO REITERATE?! WELL, THIS IS REALLY ANNOYING. Please refer to post up, up above! :D
Nikkita. I haven't started watching it yet, but I will this weekend! It's finally going to be a no work weekend for me! Time to stretch, relax, dine watch a movie and TV series and simply enjoy the weekend!
Lexmark's got a really cool new multi-function printer. The Genesis. I wish these world-class products are available here in the P.I!
Disappointing first visit to the Etude House. I've read about it a really, really long time ago in some random blog and just recently, I found out that they finally have a branch here in Ubec. Since I found out about it in the middle of the night I apparently couldn't just leave and head straight to SM City to take a good look at it... so I had no other option but to just read about it. Some bloggers said that sales ladies from the Etude House will welcome you with a "WELCOME PRINCESS" greeting once you get inside the store! I was so excited about this (hahaha! lame!) and to see all of the other good stuff in the store as well. I had to wait two more days before I could go and when I finally did... Disappointment :( The place wasn't what I imagined it to be, sadly. The people there didn't even notice us come inside the store - it's either they were too busy preparing for lunch break (because we arrived about noon) or they were just thinking that we were just one of those shoppers who stumbled upon the store without any intention of purchasing anything! But I was really thinking of buying some BB cream and nail polishes, but I was too dismayed to buy anything at all. So we left empty-handed and heart slightly broken :( The Etude House in SM City Cebu is located on the ground floor near the supermarket and the ground floor department store. I'm not great with directions so I hope you'll find it somehow! Heheh...
The Boyfriend's comment: "Is that what you were too excited to see? The place looks... hugaw (dirty)." Yes, it certainly didn't look very inviting... well, except that it is very, very pink! ^^,
Carmex lip balms are on sale! Yes, they definitely are! I bet you've read from my previous blogs how I instantly fell in love with this magical lip medicine! So I really couldn't help spreading the good news that it is available in Ubec! And the flavored ones are currently on sale up to 50% off in Ayala Center department store! Go grab one now before it runs out! :)
Here is my Carmex doodle ;) I covered it with the real one though. Hihi.
Lastly, today The Boyfriend and I are celebrating our 27 months of being together! Hoh-wow! I am proud of us for still being together after everything that we've been through! Those rough times surely made us stronger! Thank you so much God! We don't usually celebrate monthsaries because we both believe that it is unnecessary to wait for a certain day to make it special... everyday can be special and full of surprises if we want to. I could certainly fall in love with this manboy all over and over again and love him far longer than f.o.r.e.v.e.r! I swear!
I am not usually sweet, but I can be really mushy at times :) This is cheesy in a genuine level and I did this because of love ♥ So to all the haters and the cynical, you better find your tunay na pag-ibig. I'm sure it's going to turn your life around in a majorly good, good way! Just remember though to love yourself first above anything and anybody else because after all yourself is your only fallback when everything and everyone else fails.
Anyhoo, you all have a great Saturday! I'm praying and at the same time crossing my fingers for a great weather and no raging storms!
I'm working on my 5th day letter for my dreams, but my brain seems to be not functioning at its peak so I decided to just post pictures of the good things that happened to me recently -- it was all pretty tiring, trust me. But I did survive and here I am typing away so I'm still happy and grateful for all the blessings that God has given me! ♥And since I lack inspiration to write anything at all here are the photos to speak for me...
First, I got loads of stuff from my very lovely friend from Belgium, Lovely Joy. Some of the many beautiful things a girl could ever dream of -- MAKE UP! I've got three new shades of lipstick (but I gave one to my Mama since she's been hoping too long to get one!), two lip glosses, one set of eyeshadow + lip paints and another set of eyeshadow! Lalalove! All the colors are heavenly! I especially like the neon-pinkish H&M lip gloss :D
Together with the make-up is this very lovely H&M top. I really like it and it feels very comfortable! The cloth is überly nice since it can keep you warm in a highly ac'd room and just as cool under the heat of the sun! I've tested this myself in one standing! Lol! Is there even such a word? Anyhoo, too bad it's just Joy's mom who went home to the P.I this time :( I couldn't wait to see her! I've let slip so many chances to meet her in the past few years. I swear when she comes back (hopefully, next year!) I'll really, really see her! ♥
The calls were some gruesome monsters on Friday night! Breaths could only be taken during breaks it was truly exhausting! But Sho made us some hotdogs which we enjoyed to munch in between calls! I really love Tender Juicy Hotdogs! I've been a fan since the first time I ever had teeth to eat them whole! Lol!
The Boyfriend and I went on a side trip to Naga -- a town (or city?) located in the southern part of Cebu. They are going to have their annual fiesta today which by the way is 10.10.10. Hurry up and make a wish! :D I really like those girls in pink and white majorette uniforms! Makes me want to be one of them!!! If I could twist a stick, I would without doubt!
All the girls and boys were swooning over some muscled boy running in very tight triathlon apparel (well they're supposed to be really body hugging for comfort!). I was asking The Boyf if some artista was part of the race because the audience are screaming and shrieking more than the usual cheering! And then he passed by then bam! It's... Mateo Guidicelli! Did I spell that alright? I hope I did cuz this boy is indeed pretty and as The Boyf put it: the real deal. I'm not sure why he said that though. It's not like they know each other. Maybe because he's an artista, a racer, a model, and a health buff, too? I really don't know.
The main reason why we were in that part of the province is to support this guy in his first ever Triathlon! And he didn't fail us! He did bag the second place for his age category! And we are sooo proud! Oh! Please don't mind my silly expression!
Lastly... I've found some new additions to my survival kit! I think that I've fallen in love completely with that amazing Carmex lip balm! It's soo minty and it definitely peels off the ugly cracks and dead skin off my lips! Of course the neon-pinkish H&M lip gloss is super duper love! Mango & mint tic-tacs! And unfortunately, the lipstick got cut off when I converted it into a polaroid. But I do love this new shade: magenta-violet. Love love love! :)
Thanks sooo much Joy for all the beautiful stuff :)
And lastly, I've let out one secret. However, I still got more that I'm not ready to tell yet. So will you keep my secret?
AND OH! I'm sort of giddy for The Boyfriend's participation to the RUN TO THE MAX fun run later! He's chosen to run 16k this time! I know he can make it! I've given him some hopefully helpful advice of positive thinking, willpower, determination (he's already got that! Imagine running in the rain! :o), and never-ending passion for what he loves to do! I know he can make it, oh, did I already tell?
hear my wish today,
~tSin
P.S.
That Poladroid stuff I told you some blogs ago is really amazing! I couldn't get over it! I could seriously convert all of my photos to polaroids and not tire looking at them!
I will heal the ruins left inside you cuz I'm stIll here breathing now... ~Low Shoulder, Through the Trees
12.22.09 | 07:55:55 | the only way I can survive
Hello everyone... I've had too many attempts to create a post. All I can say right now is... I'm sorry I've been MIA. It's been a really busy and hectic and what not December! And though I'm sort of broke now (as if that's anything new at all!) it doesn't matter cuz I've bought presents for everyone and I'm happy and that is all that matters! I can't wait to see my loved ones' faces light up when I hand them their cute little presents! I especially enjoyed wrapping the said presents! Here's a sampler:
It's a pink-themed Holiday for me! :) I'm not gonna blab a lot today cuz seriously I feel like my brain is quite disintegrated right now. So I'm just gonna post up some photos from the "parties" in the past week.
First, we had our very own Dispatch Christmas Party - nothing really major. Just a small gathering and exchanging of gifts at the La Tegola restaurant. The food in that restaurant is superb at its highest level of superb-ness =)This is surely a must-visit, must-dine for the Italian cuisine lovers.
Unfortunately, no labels for the food :( They're just sooo Italian I couldn't even read them! Hahahah! More photos:
Camwhoring after dinner can be a substitute for dessert! :)
The dress girls and Gee with a crazy pose in the background.
The boys standing proud outside the restaurant.
Then here's me! I've got two new books from Paolo Coelho! Thanks to my manitaLois for being so generous and for making me happy! Now I will surely have something to read for the days that I won't have classes! :) HOOORAH!
Now we move on to our Department's Christmas party at the restobar, Formo. Black and white is the theme! And everyone did really enjoy that night even me who lost the gift my manita Julie was supposed to give me. Because I was sooo excited and giddy... I left the TopShop shirt in the cab :( *sniffs* Well... I'm not really sad cuz I lost that shirt, that particular shirt that I've been wishing to have... I am sad cuz Julie is one of my special friends and the fact that the gift is from her and I lost it... breaks my heart. *sighs* I just couldn't get over it until now... whenever I look back and remember. Isn't that sad? But I think the lesson that I've learned that night is that if God takes something away from you He's bound to give you something greater --- probably not the one you really wanted but something that He knows you deserve to have. I WON THE GRAND PRIZE FOR THE RAFFLE DRAW OF THE NIGHT! =) Julie's prayers were heard! It's still a happy Saturday Party Night after all ;)
And the pictures:
Me and Gelou checking out our outfit before heading out for the party.
L-R: Julie, Gelou, and Mae Ann getting ready to party =)
There's the outfit. I look fatso-tic. Hmpft.
Assorted hot shoes =)
And the hot girls who wore them :)
And the boys being gay! Hahaha! Almost perfect! Changed our outfits. Getting ready to hit the stage for our presentation! We danced to Lady Gaga's Bad Romance. ;) Ainie's hot outfit! :) I especially love the shoes! And if only the dress was shorter I would've fallen in love with it, too! :)
Lastly, the after-party photos. Some were really scandalous I couldn't bear to post them here! Hahahah! Even though it is not of me or my friends ;)
Juno dancing with the Tourist-turned-Congressman. Hahaha! I changed outfits three times in one night! :)
=) After one bottle of Beer with Green Tea -- I was like "I've got to go guys!" And off to the hotel I went and slept. Almost got in trouble with The Boyfriend because I forgot to text him that I got to the hotel safe and sound cuz I was such a Dizzy Girl!
And here is my favorite picture of that night:
The classic black and white photo in a dance floor. Find me! :)
Helloooo everyone! I had an amazing weekend - like supermassively amazing! A blast, in fact! I was sleepless from Friday until about four in the morning Sunday... I'm still a happy kid though!
July 19, 2009 marked my sixth month in the company and that means that I have just been regularized! I was once sooo anxious about regularization day cuz of my absences and I am just glad that I'm now part of the company without a doubt!
SATURDAY. From work, Tim and I went straight to visit my doctor for my monthly follow-up check up. He recommended I read the Seven Habit of Highly Successful People and The Puprose Driven Life - unfortunately, two of the books in their category that I'm not a very big fan of. For the sake of compliance I'm gonna go ahead and take a shot at The Purpose Driven Life since I already have a copy of it anyway. In fact, I have already started reading the first part of it. Oh well, Dr William, you better give me some credit for this!
i know it looks old,
it's been left on the shelves
for years already.
I guess it's time I know my purpose in life.
and what I'm missing exactly.
As for the other book, I'll be praying that somebody will give it to me probably as a gift or something or I WISH HE (MY DOCTOR) will provide it instead, like give it to me for FREE (he could take it from his PF! heheh...)
The moment I got home I had take off again to the city to pay my bills and have our internet connection, well, reconnected. And it so happened that Tim and his family were also in the city. His dad just arrived in time for his sister's birthday and also he did mean to be home earlier so he could join his first granddaughter's, LJ, first birthday! I had lunch with them and didn't stay for long... I had to run again for some other chores! I swear I didn't get any sleep at all, but I'm not complaining! It was all worth it. And I had my dose of
The night before, the rest of the team agreed to celebrate this historical day by partying like rockstars! Hahah! Although we weren't really complete because of some inevitable reasons... those who weren't able to come were excused and apologies accepted. No worries at all. So moving on, we had dinner at AA's. The food was amazing or perhaps we were just really hungry or maybe this particular restaurant really serves good food. Well they're pretty popular around the city though...
LOOKIE:
sizzled milkfish
(that's not really the name of this food, I'm just making
that up! heheh..)
pochero!
very appropriate for the cold weather.
It's really funny! We even weren't able to take decent pictures of the food anymore cuz we were seriously starving already! Like super! Right after dinner we went straight to hit the Videoke Bars. The first destination was packed, good thing Governor Julie (peace Chul! :D) had friends in this other Videoke Bar, Gimik. She asked them to reserve a room for us and we were solved! Although we still had to wait when we got there. It was a Saturday after payday, for crying out loud, what was I expecting?
Us, Dispatch, outside AA's L.A.Hug :D
with the security guard directing our poses, hahah!
the videoke room lights :)
yes, i see rainbow!
in this picture we were supposed to show off our pearly whites
but then juno chose to give out that
pretty pucker! :D
"i can see you through my heart."
julie and her pretty earth coloured
and flowery dress!
"peeking through your heart."
woisy in a see through black and white tee
"here's my heart!"
juno all smiles in her orange dress,
simply elegant! :) made her look like
she just came from a debut party! PEACE!
junz, you actually won outfit of the night!
"heart misplaced cuz i left it in meadowland."
me wearing my sister's ULTRA violet tee-hee! :D
The videoke was really crazy in a good way and really fun! Since the four of us - Julie, Lois, Juno, and Me - were the only ones left (Xtian and Ainz had to leave for their Saturday commitment with work), we took the oppurtunity to take control of the place with nonstop singing of random hit songs like Spice Girls, Heart, The Rembrandts, Incubus, Katy Perry and our very own local bands Eraserheads, Imago, Rivermaya, and our favorite of the night: AEGIS! It was very liberating to be singing Aegis songs!
After the Gimik we went straight to Vudu to continue partying. Unfortunately, I was already tipsy with the Weng2x and that other drink which I couldn't remember the name at all I couldn't help taking a nap on one of the tables just outside the dance club. Crazy me. And Lois' tum-tum went bad she had to go home early. I think I might've slept for like half an hour and when I woke up I already had a cup of frap! I had to drink it so I would feel better. I did a bit, but then later on craved for spaghetti! We had to walk to the nearest McDonald's to get my fill!
Lastly, thanks to Julie's PR prowess we met some new friends! :D
in this picture is Niña.
and here is Sid, William, and Jepoi
on our way to McDonald's
we strike a pose at the overpass! :)
Earlier that night, when I kissed my mom good-by she said that I should go home early and that I shouldn't drink. I'm sorry mother I couldn't help it... Well, I've been a good girl though cuz I went home early... in the morning! Sorry, really. I seldom go out now so please reconsider! I love you! :D Sheesh. I did get home very early on Sunday at about four in the morning and I fell asleep in the cab! Good thing the driver was nice enough to have awaken me five minutes just before our place. I was all groggy and dizzy I didn't mind anymore that he asked for an additional P20! I was just glad I was home and will be able to roll in bed and doze off. After sending my text messsages to Julie and Juno and Lois and of course, Tim - I let myself be knocked out. And guess what? I missed mass because I had a really painful headache! :O
SUNDAY. I spent the whole day sleeping at Tim's place! And the moment I got home I was surprised when my mom met me with "Hey, someone dropped by to give you these..." and she pointed to a package on the couch. It was a Nissan toy car (which turned out is for my sister Lique2x) and this:
I'm not sure who that is. It could be me or my sister Lique2x or Lovely or a mixture of the three of us! Hahah! A good friend of mine gave it to us and I'm not sure if it was him who made it, but it's really cool although again I couldn't figure out if that is me or one of my sisters!
I guess this should be it for now. I think I have blabbered enough and it's time I hit the sheets... I still got work tonight! Oh by the way, noticed my lipstick? It's soooo cute and I really, really, really love it! One last picture before I leave for slumberworld (OMG! It's already 5:00 PM!):
Fashion 21, Aqualicious in Little Mermaid Pink
just the kind shade of pink that I want!
alright, sleeping now,
~tSin
P.S. somebody just made my day today! I am definitely so smitten!
