Break Even.

Before anything else... let me tell you how... Sometimes I could get too silly to be thinking that most people wouldn't want me in their lives any longer --- well, maybe it's true for some but maybe not for most. Whatever it is though... I'm just happy I still have friends and true ones that I can laugh with, share coffee(or not)-drunken nights, can share secrets and dreams with, and those that may be really far away from me but are still there and are still my friends when we finally meet each other again. Oh! I am just thankful that I have friends! They are my ultimate sanity-savers! They really are!

Day 27- Why are you doing this 30 day challenge

I am doing this 30 day challenge to challenge myself into doing something that has at least a goal and a deadline. But hey look at me! I am waaay past my deadline on this. I am definitely still working on it. I've got 3 more days. In the past days, I have been nothing but lazy watching movies with Tim, sleeping, and then running some. Of course, there's work that usually got in the way because calls are piling up like pancakes or hollow blocks on a 10-storey building that should be finished by tomorrow or who knows. Well, well, I guess I've failed in the challenge. But I hope, to anyone at all who's reading this, that you got to know me better. That I am just no lazy kid but also someone who's got stuff to do if she has to :D

My head is in a swirl right now cuz after some halo2x with Tim we dropped by his best friend's house and we each drank a bottle of beer, well, vodka ice for me. We had to get up early today because we've agreed last night to run and so we did... with swirling heads! Hahaha! Still made it though ;)

Let me leave you with this before I go and hit the sack to prep up for tonight's work:

better hope you're not alone,

Memories of Me Will Fade Soon.

"See everyone arrayed for you to try
You're not alone in being alone
Six billion humans - one of them's right for you"
~Kate Havnevik, Halo.

Day 26- What you think about your friends

I just don't think but I do believe that my friends are really AWESOME and AMAZING. Not to mention they are definitely cool too. Truly people that I can count on when I need them it's just that I am the one who shuns shoulders offered :| I hope I don't get misinterpreted on that... because if I should have to tell the reason why with all honesty... which I will be doing now, actually... as much as possible I keep things to myself and resolve them with as little aid as possible because I know that everybody's got things going on in their lives as well and I just don't, don't, don't want to add any more to their burden.

I am definitely thankful that I've got friends who care about me. A simple hello (no matter how cliche) from them is an incredible way of knowing that somehow in their busy lives they still remembered me.

I wanted to post pictures of my ALL of my friends here, but I don't want to get into a fatal crime of missing to post pictures of some due to forgetfulness (and with the gazillion pictures that I do have in this and that computer it would be very difficult to just put all the blame on me!)... to be safe, let this picture be a symbolic one for them :)

My friends and my feelings for them is like this body of water... overflowing and endless. It will get through to the end no matter how rough the tides.

taken a few years back | Kawasan Falls, Badian, Cebu

It might look like there is a boundary right there that stops the water from flowing, but really, if you go there, you'll see that there is nothing at all that divides it. It flows on and on and on...

For those friends that I have offended because I am too passive at times I am deeply and truly sorry. But know always that I am just here, willing to help whenever I can! Just call my name...

I'll be there,

~tSin

P.S.

Because I love my friends, here's a  plug for the lovely Lovely Joy.
I'm helping her out in funding for her upcoming Church wedding on July of this year.
Buy this bag and help her out, too!
It's an authentic Prada tote and if only I could afford it I would've bought it.

 P15,000.00 only =)

Isn't that a beauty? I would really want it for myself but again... not now.
I'm also saving up for something big coming my way in the future ;)
If you're interested please pm me.
ADOPT IT NOW!

Stress-proof. Coachella Wishes.

I wish I am.

Just like this panda munching on an apple donut.

Looks like a donut apple to me :)

What I Did On Sinulog Sunday...

Potato overload.
Baked potato lasagna - instead of pasta for the layering
(pardon my lack of term I have never been a cook EVER!)
they put on thin round slices of potatoes :)
Jumbo fries.
And two glasses of iced tea. JK!
The other one's for Tim of course! :D
All food from Potato Corner (near cinemas 5-8)

PIGGED OUT... ONLY.
Yes. It's true. No street roaming and photos of the Sinulog dancers or the Sinulog Festival Queens.
Just food my dears. Sorry to disappoint you of my Sinulog exploits...
It's not very colorful like the others.

Who could resist?
I've been meaning to eat barbecue... since!
I think, before that, it's been months since I've had a taste of that mouth-watering foodie!

I have to stop really BECAUSE I have to get serious with my diet.
How could I win the Biggest Loser brigade if I go on eating with no ounce of control at all?!

hyelp,

~tSin

Suicide.

from Jason Mraz's blog :D He said REBLOG, right? =)

I don't know how I saw that though. But that's what I saw first.

your turn,

THE INVENTORY: In the Loot.

"If you wanna know a person, take a look at what's inside his bag."
                                                                                         ~Me☺
Day 25- What I would find in your bag

Finally, finally, finally! The long wait is over... well, at least my long wait is over! Yeah, I've been really excited on posting this here already and when I found some good "me-time" yesterday (while Tim was out jogging to give those muscles the greatest fix ever!), I didn't waste time at all! I immediately scavenged my bag and took pictures of it and everything inside it! :D Now, now here's a little disclaimer before you proceed... this is going to be really girly... if you're not interested in these kinds of stuff you are certainly free to go or you're free to check out my archives.

Please do forgive me. I'm actually talking to myself. Hahah! Anyhoo, don't tell me I didn't tell you I told you so! Peace ;)

First up... *drum roll*

THE BAG, of course.
Not my favoritest of all the bags that I own, but I do like this because all of my stuff can be properly arranged inside! It's a Gap canvass (I think) bag. Because I'm not really very familiar as to how bags are specifically classified - for me, for as long as it's comfortable and big enough to accommodate my necessity babies... that will surely work!

So moving on... to the contents.

NOT TOTALLY EVERYTHING just yet! :)
1. the bag.
2. my pink umbrella (wc needs some sewing, btw!)
3. work i.d - couldn't live without it!
4. a slim bangle which is a part of a 7-day set (and the others are in another bag)
5. diy journal. pimped, actually :)
6. my ever beloved Walkie the cellphone ^^,
7. Judge gum.
8. little gadget pouch
9. ultimate kikay kit (floral and very sweet)
10. my lucky wallet (supposedly! heheh)
11. native pouch come cellphone case (my mother's pasalubong from...I forgot! :|)
but I will let you know once I do!
12. iPhone... that's just the name of my spare phone. Haha! I like it
because it's super cute and it's.... PINK of course!
13. lucky coin purse (gifted by colleague, Juno and I'm soo happy that it's still alive
until now! I really love that it's black and sparkly! I'm such a fish!)
14. Tim's USB which I've borrowed and constantly bring... just in case!
(will be putting in black swan in there a few minutes! :D)
15. Victoria's Secret - Secret Charm scent. Just a random pick and nothing
very special with a very special and interesting story.
16. Alcohol. One of the many, many things I could never live without.
Call me OC. I will admit!

Piece by piece, tear it up (not!)

The pouches!
 1. My floral kikay kit and gadget pouch.
They're pretty stuffed if I must say. They really are!
Sometimes I could hear them cry cuz they're all jammed up inside :(
2. Safety pins. They can always come in handy.
You'll never know when a wardrobe malfunction would kill you.
3. Contents of my gadget pouch:
~card reader in a see through pink pouch
~Stabilo Boss in pink
~G-tech - I don't write with anything else unfortunately and I don't know why.
~Silver and Pink metallic pens for special occasions :)
~Scissors. You'll never know when you need one.
~Nail cutter. Very useful.
All my phone chargers are not even there, but yes they do fit!
4. Hair clips. Sometimes my bangs and hair can really go in the way...
so these can really go in handy for a good hair SOS.
It takes make up to look natural ;)
Guess who said that!

YES! Calvin Klein!

 1. toothbrush, toothpaste and floss in another pink see-through pouch.
2. Paganini 5-brush set plus a concealer brush that I forgot where I bought! :o
3. Ponytails. Cuz in this humid and warm country it is definitely a no-no to just let your hair
down and fly with the wind+dust all day.
4. random lash curler (prolly my sister's)
5. Maybelline eye & lip make-up remover. I bring it with me in my kikay kit
in case of make-up malfunction and also if I find myself too lazy to go home
and opt to sleep at Tim's instead.
6. Vaseline healthy white lotion. I like to keep it in my kit because it's so small
and definitely saves me loads of space! Plus! It works fine with my skin, too :)
7. Myra-E lip balm.
The first time I tried it on (before I even knew Carmex existed!)
I fell in love with it. It made my lips smooth to the touch.
8. lipstick tubes in: coral, nude pink, vibrant violet (fave)
and shimmery (almost like a lip balm :D)
9. Girl's Night nourishing body cream - which I only put on when I am to see Tim.
Which is like almost everyday. Hahaha! But I love the scent of it...
Peonies and waterlilies! Hmmm!
10. Avon liquid eyeliner. Not the best but I like it somehow
because it's too easy to apply!
11. Double eyeliner in silver and black.
Did you know that silver and white eyeliner will make your eyes look
more vibrant and stress-free? Try it :)
12. lip and cheek tint. I love the soft touch of pink in it.
It makes me look sooo innocent and 16 :p
13. ELF duo eyeshadow cream in butter pecan ♥
14. Lush lip tint (given by my wonderful friend Teenee) I love its bubble-gum scent!
15. lip liner. I figured that if I put on lip liner on my lips
before putting on the last shade of lipstick it will make the color last longer :)
16. a lipstick sampler. it's sooo cute and the color is also nice. So I'm keeping it :)
17. ELF blush in blushing rose (I think! A gift from my sister Lique. I learned
all of my making-up skills from her :D)
18. Clear mascara for lazy breezy days.
19. my bestfriend, Petroleum Jelly! Could be used as a make-up remover, too!
Thanks to Lois to that. She was the one who said I try it.. so I did.
And a miracle just happened!
20. Avon daring definition mousse mascara.
21. Olay Natural White - because I can't live without moisturizer.
22. Avon true color blush -- because I love it's semi-peachy color.
23. ELF Corrective concealer (Another gift from Lique! She's a big fan of concealers.)
24. Maybelline shine free face powder. It really is a must have!
Makes your face look smooth and flawless all day long.
Even in pictures! :)
25. Avon solutions refined white make-up base.
I've been looking for too long for a make-up base and good thing that this
was on sale. I then bought 2 in mint! It's really nice to the skin and gives you that
healthy and flawless face look... naturally :)
WOW! Doing that was like baring my soul. But I know that only a few get to stumble upon this blog. Heheh... I hope you enjoyed my babbling about though! And to those who are planning to ask (assuming!), yes, I am a big lover of pink and make-up but it doesn't mean that I wear pink all of the time (from head to foot) and that I wear make-up most of the time, too (like Audrey Hepburn, even in her sleep! Well, at least in the movies! heheh..)

This entry I leave to you who reads this :) Thank you so much! I appreciate your dropping by every now and then!

PIT SENYOR CEBU!

P.S.

If you're wondering why I don't keep a comb with me... this I honestly say, that although I use it occasionally, I'd rather have my hair unkempt. I just love it that way :D

TOTGA.

In another life
I would make you stay
So I don't have to say
You were the one that got away
~Katy Perry, The One That Got Away.

I just need to share this... to everyone who can relate... cheers?
I don't have a person I can call "TOTGA" yet... and I am not hoping.
I'd rather keep him forever.
When I find him.

From: The Manila Times
By: Mark J. Macapagal

In your life, you’ll make note of a lot of people. Ones with whom you shared something special, ones who will always mean something. There’s the one you first kissed, the one you first loved, the one you put on a pedestal, the one you’re with … and the one that got away.

Who is the one that got away? I guess it’s that person with who everything was great, everything was perfect, but the timing was just wrong. There was no fault in the person, there was no flaw in the chemistry, but the cards just didn’t fall the right way, I suppose.

I believe in the fact that ending with someone, finding a longtime partner that is, does not lie merely in the other person. I can actually argue that an equal part, or maybe even the greater part, has to do with the matter of timing. It has to do with you being ready to settle down and commit to someone in a way that goes beyond the little niceties of giddy romance.

How often have you gone through it without realizing it? When you’re not ready to commit in that mature manner, it doesn’t matter who you’re with, it just doesn’t work. Small problems become big; inconsequentials become deal breakers simply because you’re not ready and it shows. It’s not that you and the person you’re with are no good; it’s just that it’s not yet right, and little things become the flashpoint of that fact.

Then one day you’re ready. You really are. And when this happens you’ll be ready to settle down with someone. He or she may not be the most perfect, they might not be the brightest star of romance to ever have burned in your life, but it’ll work because you’re ready. It’ll work because it’s the right time and you’ll make it work. And it’ll make sense, it really will.

So that day comes when you’re finally making sense of things, and you find yourself to be a different person. Things are different, your approach is different, you finally understand who you are and what you want, and you’ve become ready because the time has truly arrived. And mind you, there’s no telling when this day will come. Hopefully you’re single but you could be in a long-term relationship, you could be married with three kids, it doesn’t matter.

All you know is that you’ve changed, and for some reason, the one that got away, is the first person you think about.

You’ll think about them because you’ll wonder, “What if they were here today?” You’ll wonder, “What if we were together now, with me as I am and not as I was?” That’s what the one that got away is. The biggest “What if?” you’ll have in your life.

If you’re married, you’ll just have to accept the fact that the one that got away, got away. Believe me, no matter how fairy tale you think your marriage is, this can happen to the best of us. But hopefully you’re mature enough to realize that you’re already with the one you’re with and this is just another test of your commitment, one which will just strengthen your marriage when you get past it. Sure, you’ll think about him/her every so often, but it’s alright. It’s never nice to live with a “might have been,” but it happens.

Maybe the one that got away is the one who’s already married. In which case it’s the same thing. You just have to accept and know that your memories of that person will probably bring a nice little smile to your lips in the future when you’re old and gray and reminiscing. But if neither of that is the case, then it’s different. What do you do if it’s not yet too late? Simple … find him, find her. Because the very existence of a “the one that got away” means that you’ll always wonder, what if you got this one?

Ask him out to coffee, ask her out to a movie, it doesn’t matter if you’ve dropped in from out of nowhere. You’d be surprised, you just might be “the one that got away” as well for the person who is your “the one that got away.”

You might drop in from out of nowhere and it won’t make a difference. If the timing is finally right, it’ll all just fall into place somehow and you know, I’m thinking, it would be a great feeling, in the end, to be able to say to someone, “Hey you, you’re the one that almost got away.”

Hoping for the Bestest of the Best!

I certainly can live with just these! :)

Yes! Definitely hoping that this will help me in managing my PMS issue...
Especially, the dreadful tantrums that goes along with it!

An apple is a PMS-girl's best friend. Find out why! Click the link! GO! :D
Read here for more!

I am honestly too lazy to write today or share my thoughts because I am sick :| Again? My back is hurting like hell and I've already gulped down 2 pain relievers in shift (that's equivalent to 9.6hrs in this office!). But I've got to stretch my pain tolerance here cuz I have to be strong enough to attend the last day of the Novena for the child Jesus Sto. Niño.

The weekend's going to be festive for sure. But I'm not feeling very up for it, in fact, I'm skipping the Sonic Boom Mosh Pit Señor gig this year. Haah... I just want to spend it somewhere quiet and where I could just be lazy  (if allowed) doing nothing, gazing at the sky or stars and feeling the breeze on my salt-washed face. Ahhh... A good life. Missed.

get well soon, self,

SOUPossedly.

I should've lost 3lbs by now or 5lbs even. But gah! I've been eating like a monster since the day that I promised to lose weight :O I.AM.FRUSTRATED. Plus the cold and rainy weather is making me too lazy to do anything at all! One of those days when I could but wish to just stay curled up in bed and sleep, sleep, sleep -- no eating cuz it will only make me waaayyy fatter than I already am now. And I am also sick-ish. I hope rain decides to have a day off over the weekend cuz it's going to be very festive in this island on that day and there's no room for overly heavy rain!

Anyhoo, while I'm waiting for the rain to stop and the coldness to slowly melt away... I am helping myself with:

Deadly instant noodles while chatting with my lovely friend Joy2x :)
I wish the rain stops,

P.S.

And this migraine, too :| Please!

What I Hate.

My number 1 pet peeve:

People who eavesdrop and read (WITHOUT PERMISSION) whatever it is that I am reading on MY computer, cellphone, notebook (that I'm writing on). They just totally irk me beyond belief! I wonder why such people exist. They're soooo intruding privacy and that  I just couldn't tolerate :s But I'm also too chicken to tell them to get off my back.

I wish they could just wait until they are asked for their opinion. I wish.

What would be the best way to tell them off?

right words are not always the best ones,

~tSin

P.S.

Have you seen the new P20 bill? Here...
One of the first ones out! Thanks to my friend, Teenee for this gift!
FRONT. Manuel Quezon looks 10 years younger in the new bill.

BACK: promoting tourist spots :)
P.P.S.

I never thought I'd like the look of it in person.
Yahoo! photos surely did not give it any justice!
It looks super duper adorable :)

Vacation Cravings.

an interesting catch.
"A mini getaway
To a place where you could lie on sands all day
A mini trip
That's surely not going to get your wallet ripped."

And yes, there are some days when I'd really want to rhyme things even though sometimes they couldn't make much sense. Lol. Anyhoo, here's an overly late post of our (Tim and yours truly) quick day out at the beach. Good thing that the weather gave us more than a couple of hours to enjoy the sun because later during the day... it rained completely... especially in the city.

Now that it's already January, despite the cold, cold weather outside I'm totally up and ready to gear up for the summer. It's not that we even need an official kick-off for a summer's day in this country where it's summer all year long, I just feel like tagging mid-March as my "official" summertime until the rainy days come back in June. And this instant, I am craving for another day at the beach or the swimming pool. I just need to swim! And oh! Did I already tell? I joined our department's own rendition of reality tv's Biggest Loser. So pretty much explains why I need a good and very exhausting and pound losing swim! Since I can't do it yet... I will have to run my fats off for the next few weeks or so.

I wish I won't be too lazy. I really.

I should... run three times a week and get a shot at swimming at least twice. I'd risk the city's swimming pool. I would do anything to lose some pounds for my own well-being and for the upcoming activities of the year :D

Here are some photos of our getaway in Alcoy

relaxation is the best medicine, oh well second to laughter :)

all ♥

nagpapakitang gilas :D

The fee break down?
I'd say 200 for bus fare per person - back and forth to our place (since we opted to ride there as it won't be too practical anymore to go to the city just to catch the bus heading south)
P50 for the venue (and I don't know why we had to pay for it though)
P10 for the entrance fee
No fee for tables and chairs or cottage since we brought our own scarves and blankets.
The place was deserted since it was on a weekday.

the boatman seeking food under the noon sun.

IT was a perfect getaway -- isolated and quiet and tranquil minus luxurious maid service or whatsoever.
But that's all good, we had fun feeling like we own the place even for just a few hours :)

Festive.

Today is the first day of the Novena for the Sto Nino in lieu with the Sinulog festivities. I'm not going to elaborate much on that, but I'm going to give you one very helpful post, especially those who are devotees and are looking forward to completing the 9 days of mass and prayer in honor of the child Jesus.

The mass schedules:

And more info here.

Celebrate with us... in prayer and colorful festivities :)

No Rain.

I went to see what I already knew. I had to. I had to see for myself. Sure, I was there on her big day, no, make that the grandest day of her life. But I had to go back and see her again. I want to know if she's happy where she is. There has been some turbulence midway, feats of giving up and just losing her dreams for good... I had nothing else in mind. I had to be there for her somehow.

And I got there. A few minutes before a party she refused to attend because she has some other things more important than just wasting some hours chatting away. Probably, also avoiding being alone with me. I felt a pang inside my chest and I couldn't possibly name it or even if I knew, I wouldn't admit it. I have a girl with her arm in mine, giving me love only she could ever give. But why do I have this feeling? That I won't be happy unless I am with her.

And I got there. She was resting her head on a pillow, looking so peaceful and content despite the emotional wreck some man, who didn't know much her worth, have caused her. I love her. But seeing her there and watching her, I have to convince myself that it is time I move on and be happy with this girl or woman (in time) who loves me dearly. I'll have to pray to God with all my heart that that man whom she chose would somehow make her happy as I would've made her.

I love her. But I have to let go now.

Somewhere she is also waiting for this day that I could finally let her go.

some love,

~tSin

Rainy New Year's Day.

~♥~
Rainy days make me lazy.
They really do! And they also make me eat too much.
So can you already imagine how I spent the first weekend of 2011?
Binge eat. Sleep. Binge eat again.
Oh wow! I hope it doesn't go on like that for the rest of the year!
Anyhoo, Tim (The Boyfriend and I've decided from this day onwards to use his name and not just The Boyfriend anymore cuz he isn't just The Boyfriend) was so ecstatic about watching Tron because of the positive feedback we both have been hearing all over the globe and by that, I mean, by word of mouth, web, news and wherever else. We decided to watch it on Sunday, the 2nd day of January, cuz we didn't want to spend the first day in the cinemas and not that it's even open on that day. So after overloading with French Fries from McDonald's the night before we were ready to conquer Tron. After going to mass with his family we headed straight to the city despite the non-stop pouring of the rain just to get to the first show only to find out that the Tron movie is not going to be showing until 6:30 PM  :| SM Cinema totally burst our bubbles right there. Hpft! Tim was sort of upset cuz we got there too early, about twelv-ish and he suddenly lost interest with anything at all and by that I really mean anything. And he's got this really hurt look on his face... well, who wouldn't after braving the rain and all? We could've just stayed at home and watch movies with TT (the laptop).

Tim rarely smiles, but that's his smile. Hahah!
I had to make a plan so I could get his good mood back. We later found ourselves standing outside this 4D mini theater and found ourselves laughing at the people inside who's enjoying the pseudo-rides of their lives. And of course, I convinced him to try it :) We took the Speed Coaster which was their best seller and my second time to take a shot at it but it still left me breathless somehow! It was all good @P120/scene/5mins and they're located on the 4th floor, beside the department store adjacent to toy Kingdom :)

Excited to go! ♥
Excited to go, too. Hehehe...

We had lunch after a few minutes of walking around - we had to get rid of the sickening feeling first before gobbling anything up.

All I had for lunch. The DIETING must start ASAP.

Yes, I must start dieting ASAP because I've been doing nothing else but eat. Oh my! And that's totally unacceptable. What body will I be showing in the summer if I can't control myself from eating too much?

Anyhoo, how did the first two or three days of your 2011 went so far?

Yes, 2011 I'm definitely ready to take a bite off your head! Hehehe...
Bring it on cuz from now on I'll be your happy tiger bunny :D

And before I finally end this entry... Lookie what I found:

Make me smile. Leave me just three words when you can :)

Leave it here :)

Hope you all had great rainy days, despite of. There should always be a reason to be happy and for a smile to cross a face, right? :)

on a perfect day,

~tSin

The Time Flies With Mad Rabbits

HAPPY GOLDEN NEW YEAR!

Peter Ban and Twinkle Belle :p

~from yours truly and still the uncontested bestest boyfriend in the whole wide world!

This year may all of us be more giving of love and understanding.
May we have the strength to fight off the temptation of speaking ill against our neighbors
or anyone else for that matter.
May we be bolder with our decisions.
May we never get tired of thanking God for every blessing that we receive.
May we be happier.

make it happen,
