I Will Meet You In Some Place Where The Light Lends Itself To Soft Repose

You say that you're broken
I just want to fix you

July, July and it's Harry Potter season once again! And probably most of you would already be queuing to the theatres any time from now to watch the latest installation of the Harry Potter movie series. I think with all of the previous five HP movies I have only watched one in the cinema (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets) and only because somebody treated us to it! Hahah! I have already seen the trailer and I should say it's really good that it makes me want to hop into the bandwagon of the theatre-liners today... except that that's only the trailer. Most trailers are usually good, aren't they? They have to be, otherwise those movies that are not really that worth watching won't be watch at all! Somebody still needs to come up to me to tell me that it's worth watching and worth my money else I will have to resort to downloading it online. I know, I'm bad and I'm sorry. But please put into mind that this will only happen if, let's say, 7 out of 10 people will tell me that I SHOULDN'T WATCH IT. =)

Today I will share to you a poem that I have written four years ago for Albus Dumbledore. I found this poem in my journal of 2005 as I was raiding my bookshelves for some books that I could lend to a colleague. I believe that this is more of an elegy than of just a poem. I was so moved by the headmaster's death I ended up writing this as tears ran down my cheek to my notebook. It was such a sad fate Dumbledore has to face. Tsktsk.

The Phoenix Lament
08.09.05 ©

As the shadow roofed what
might have been his grave
A slit of rain plummeted onto what
might have been his end.

Clutched on his hand no mighty sword,
Defenseless as a cat astray.
And as an evil soul towards him lurked
He but calmly resigned into a banter.

The greatest wizard on a tower cornered and
No one knows if in that dreadful moment
He prayed for salvation
For the unruffled look on his eyes was the same.

Who would've thought he was wrong all along
About a man he was sure on his order had sided?
Trusting, always trusting
But now, in front of him stands his fateful conclusion.

Trust broken, loyalty never even revered
And with a speck of curse
The great wizard on his knees had fallen
On the spot he perished like woman tumbling.

A song melancholic flooded the stronghold
Feeding even more remorse to those who hear it.
The one they've come to love so much
Has now succumbed to his bitter finale.

And that's it. I've got the pictures from this really talented guy by the name of Caladan and you can check out the photos and some others through here. I guess I should sign off for now blogosphere and probably just dream of the movie today? When I get back you owe me a story about the movie! :D
